Thailand | Church Planting Internship
Opportunity Overview:
Have you wondered if long-term missions could be part of your future? Consider spending a gap year with our church planting team in North Thailand. You’ll live in a small city along the Thailand–Myanmar border, serving among the Shan people—an unreached, primarily Buddhist people group. During your year you will:
· Serve alongside our church planting team
· Learn the local language and church planting methodology
· Earn a TESOL certificate to equip you for teaching English
· Build authentic relationships with the people around you

Additional Information:
Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ among the Shan in North Thailand who have the least access to the gospel. We will demonstrate the compassion of our Lord Jesus Christ while proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Timeline
- August 2026 – May 2027
- August 12 – Arrive in Chiang Mai, Thailand
- Aug 17 – Sept 18 – TESOL course + Motorcycle Safety Course (Honda Center, Chiang Mai)
- Late September – Relocate to Mae Sai, Thailand
- Sept – May – Ministry in Mae Sai
- Oct – Early March – Teach English during the school term
- Late March – Mid May – Intensive language study with the goal of being able to share a children’s Bible story and a 5-minute personal testimony before returning home

Our Vision is to establish indigenous reproducing churches, that are faithful to the Scriptures, while partnering with like-minded Christians towards a movement to Christ that would sweep across North Thailand, the Shan State and beyond.
