Japan | Urban Church Planting Summer Internship
Opportunity Overview:
Experience the vibrancy of Tokyo while participating in meaningful outreach to youth, university students, and families. You will be mentored by veteran Japan church planters and end your time in the mountains, at SEND's Okutama Bible Chalet where you will be introduced to all of the missionaries and ministries of SEND in Japan during our annual conference.

Terms: Short Term (2-4 weeks); Flexible Dates
Responsibilities:
- Assist with teaching English to kids
- Attend outreach clubs with Japanese high schoolers
- Participate in English discussions with university students
- Worship with Japanese and Internationals at a church in downtown Tokyo
- Join prayer walks in Tokyo
- Interview Japanese and missionary church planters
- Spend time each week in Japanese language study
- Be mentored by veteran SEND Japan missionaries
- Share the love of Christ
Qualifications:
- Willingness to use public transportation to travel to ministry sites
- Ability to live on one's own (cooking, laundry, cleaning, etc)
- Commitment to working with others
- Desire to learn about Japanese culture and the Japanese church
- Desire to build connections with Japanese people
- Flexible and willing to serve
