Japan | D House Obanazawa Internship

Opportunity Overview:

Those who are interested in exploring SEND ministries in a rural area of Japan working with Japanese believers doing various outreach activities in the community, particularly with children and senior citizens. This opportunity is for those preparing for, or seriously considering, long-term missionary work.

We accept one to three interns per term, with three being our maximum. For the winter and fall terms, we allow both young men and young women at the same time. For the summer term, we allow only one gender, either all males or all females.

Countries:  Japan

Terms:  Short-Term (1-3 months)

 

 


Responsibilities:

  • Learn skills for living in Japan, i.e. shopping, food preparation, language acquisition, traveling in Japan, handling money
  • Learn to understand the culture through observation, reading, and interviews for the purpose of evangelism and discipleship
  • Learn to engage the unreached
  • Participate in activities with Japanese believers
  • Live with a missionary couple as you engage in learning and ministry together with the other D House participants




Qualifications:

  • Flexibility
  • Can be single or a married couple
  • No Japanese language required
  • Fluency in English
