Opportunity Overview:
Team Hope is looking for mid-term and long-term workers to partner in Southeast Asia on a globally diverse team seeking to be the presence of Jesus and bring the message of Jesus to Muslims. We are looking for those with a particular interest in agriculture, animals, and research who want to monitor farm initiatives and reforestation efforts while also helping facilitate on-the-job training for university agriculture and animal science students. We utilize regenerative farming practices to bring food security in family homes and small farms. Terms: Long-Term (3+ years), Mid-Term (1 - 3 years)

Responsibilities:
- Monitor & track farm initiatives (computer technical skills with responsibility to record agricultural planting cycles, harvesting details, drone mapping of areas of reforestation)
- Lead college students on-the-job training internships in animal husbandry & agriculture, with responsibility to help them participate in research projects. Gather student research papers to help improve farm projects.
- Marketing of post-harvest products from the farm in local commercial contexts. This could be marketing herbal teas like lemongrass, selling coffee varietals, finding a market for cacao discs
Qualifications:
- Some experience working with animals (goats, rabbits, chickens)
- Agricultural experience, with interest (to learn or already know) in soil restoration, terrace farming to prevent soil erosion, reforestation, fruit and vegetables, small plot gardens for sustainable nutrition for families.
- Monitoring activity skills: computer technical skills in MS Excel, Word, Power Point.
- Ability to fill out a log frame (no experience in this needed)
- Willingness to spend time with university students and farm workers
- Adventurous spirit who enjoys being in nature and hiking
- Creativity in farm to market/business approaches
- Committed to studying God's word in groups
- Willing to work on a team, collaborating with others
