Georgia | Short-term Pioneer Ministry Team

Opportunity Overview:
At-risk teens in the Republic of Georgia need mature, qualified adults to build into their lives and to demonstrate the life-changing hope of the gospel of Jesus. Coming to Georgia on a short-term team of experienced youth workers can really boost the ministry effectiveness of our local, long-term team, while giving you a chance to be discipled, to explore God’s cross-cultural call in your life, and to learn practical cross-cultural, ministry/life skills. Do you have ten days, two weeks, a month, or even a semester to reflect the transforming life of Jesus by working on a pioneering team serving local teens? Join us as we follow Jesus, love people, and join His Spirit moving in local communities.

Teams are not required to be English-speaking but will need at least one English speaker to act as a liaison.
All SEND Eurasia short-term teams will engage in some level of language and culture learning, and they will meet regularly together for supervision, mentoring, and encouragement.
Living situations will likely place short-term team members in urban style apartments, requiring the use of public transportation, and an ability to shop, cook, do laundry, and care for the apartment independently. Some ministry will also take place in smaller village contexts with varying degrees of modern conveniences.
Our Local Vision
SEND Eurasia is trusting God to expand into new locations in beautiful Transcaucasia, a region surrounded by Russia, Turkey, and Central Asian countries, and home to dozens of unreached people groups. Our team has launched in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi. We have begun working closely with local churches and partner organizations to build pioneering teams that can live long-term in communities, learn language and culture, and build trusting friendships by doing life together with local people. Loving people as we work either in ministry or in professions that develop local communities offers us many opportunities to build gospel-focused bridges into these local communities and opens doors for the Spirit to draw people to Himself.
