Disciple Maker - Alaska & Northern Canada

Needed:
Individuals passionate about making reproducing disciples of Jesus in Alaska and Northern Canada to help us accomplish our vision: to see every community of the 60/70 Window filled with local disciple-makers who meet together regularly and have established regional leadership.
Country: Alaska, Canada, United States
Term: Long-Term (3+ years)
Tasks:
  • Cultivate/create opportunities for spiritual conversations
  • Share the gospel, disciple new believers, lead Bible studies
  • Train local Christian leaders
  • Also assist campaign ministries, youth work, and other ministries, as needed
  • Look at our Ministry Guide to get a sense of this role.
Specific Qualifications:
  • The ability to share the gospel, disciple new believers, and develop leaders
  • Capable of leading Bible studies and small groups
  • A desire to see the Church established where it is not present
  • Boldness accompanied with cultural sensitivity

Planting indigenous churches in remote communities across Alaska and northern Canada is uniquely challenging. SEND North's vision is to see every community of the 60/70 Window filled with local disciple-makers who meet together regularly and have established regional leadership. This is accomplished utilizing teams of traditional missionaries, bi-vocational workers, and others to accomplish this goal.
