Central Asia | Global Chinese Ministry Team

Opportunity Overview:
Join a team of ethnic Chinese short-termers to serve Jesus in Kazakhstan by partnering with long-term, local workers, learning from them as you serve alongside them. Be ready to build relationships with Kazakh people as you engage in language and culture learning, ministry and service in local Kazakh communities. This team will be led by experienced cross-cultural workers who will mentor and supervise you before, during, and after the short-term trip to Kazakhstan.

Additional Information:
We are seeking to form small teams led by experienced long-term workers, and deployed as a team, for the mutual nourishment of the short-term team. The team leaders who accompany these short-term teams will be able to lift some supervisory and mentoring burdens off already stretched local, long-term workers.
Teams are not required to be English-speaking but will need at least one English speaker to act as a liaison.
All SEND Eurasia short-term teams will engage in some level of language and culture learning, and they will meet regularly together for supervision, mentoring, and encouragement.
Living situations will likely place short-term team members in urban style apartments, requiring the use of public transportation, and an ability to shop, cook, do laundry, and care for the apartment independently. Some ministry will also take place in smaller village contexts with varying degrees of modern conveniences.
Our Local Vision
SEND Eurasia is trusting God to expand into new locations in Central Asia, locations that are home to 59 people groups, 34 of which are considered unreached (Joshua Project). Join long-term teams of co-vocational workers that live and work in local communities, to learn language and culture and to build trusting friendships, doing life together with local people. Engaging in learning, ministry, and service under the direction of our local workers enhances our team’s ability to love people, develop local communities, and build gospel-focused bridges that open doors for the Spirit to draw people to Himself.
