Alaska | Communications Manager

Opportunity Overview:
SEND North is looking for a communications manager and content creator who will help to tell the story of God's work in Alaska and northern Canada through digital and print media. We need someone who is skilled in using both modern and traditional communications methods to reach a wide audience. This person will help create a compelling message to recruit new missionaries, strengthen prayer support, and raise funds for strategic ministry efforts.
Countries: Alaska / Northern Canada
Terms: Long-Term (3+ years), Mid-Term (1 - 3 years), Short-Term (2 weeks - 1 year)

Responsibilities:
• Create regular social media content on Instagram and Facebook
• Write blog articles and print content telling the stories of God's work through SEND North
• Write monthly prayer updates about our ministries
• Work closely with the Area Director to create an effective communications strategy
• Oversee SEND North social media platforms in cooperation with SEND International communications personnel from other SEND offices
• Assist with the communications strategy for fundraising campaigns
Qualifications:
• Well versed in social media channels and their strengths and weaknesses
• Eager to coordinate with a global team of SEND International communications personnel
• Respectful and understanding of the communications preferences of various generations
