Ukrainian scholars are in a unique position to develop theological resources that will benefit the global church, especially in terms of trauma care (personal, familial, and communal), PTSD recovery, political activism, passivism, and more.

Before the start of the war in 2022, Ukraine was developing in church leadership and scholarship. Professors in protestant seminaries were receiving PhDs, and the level of biblical literacy and education among pastors, ministers, and church members was increasing.

However, due to the war, many have immigrated. Institutions are struggling to stay open. But many are also writing from a deeply authentic place. Contemplation about a theology of suffering, trauma, evil, recovery, and forgiveness is widespread and practical.

To accomplish this, Ukrainian scholars need a safe place to develop and document their current reflections. This project aims to provide funds and access to research resources, administrative support, and logistical assistance to help complete these theological materials.

Will you partner with us in praying and supporting these Ukrainian scholars? Consider giving $25-50 a month to help them develop biblically-informed books, articles, and course curricula from a Ukrainian perspective serving the church in Ukraine and beyond.
