Making disciples among the unreached

Cherokee Six Refurbish

missions airplane aviation
In: Alaska, SEND North
ID: 21075
Aviation is key to ministry in the Far North, and our Cherokee Six aircraft is a significant blessing.  With the seating capacity of seven and low wing design, it is a good fit for ministry in a new, strategic location which is exceptionally windy.  However, before we can relocate it, some needed repairs must be made.

We must replace a wing due to corrosion, paint the aircraft to withstand the high salt environment, and update the avionics.   Mission Aviation Training Academy (MATA) has donated the labor. We just have to pay for their flight to and from Seattle.  The total cost of these repairs exceeds what we have set aside in our maintenance fund.

We estimate the total cost of this project to be $40,000.  When this project is complete, we will have a plane that will serve the mission for many more years.

Please donate to this fund so we can wrap up this renovation promptly and put this vital aircraft to good use in this crucial ministry location.
