Hello everyone! My name is Clarissa and I've been blessed enough to be accepted into a missionary internship through SEND, and have the great oppurtunity to serve the people of Japan this fall!

God has recently put the desire in my heart to help spread the Gospel to unreached countries, and has specically called me to serve in Japan. There is a profound contrast between the vibrant culture Japan shares with the world (especially the West) and the deeper emotional and spiritual struggles many face within the country. The pressures of a relentless work culture and rigid societal expectations have left many, especially the younger generation, feeling isolated, burdened, and without hope. Alarming statistics show that 85% of Japan’s youth grapple with questions about their purpose and the meaning of life.

As someone who has grown up appreciating and loving Japanese culture myself, I believe now more than ever that Japan is in need of Christ followers who can share the Gospel and offer hope, healing, and salvation. I can't wait to serve and minister to the town of Obanazawa - to be an extension of God's love and show that joy, peace,
and light can be found through Christ.
