As a child, I loved hearing about Heaven and the streets of gold. Being slightly afraid of the dark, a place where God Himself was the light and there was never any night seemed pretty amazing. I have had the opportunity to serve in places spiritually dark, allowing God's light to shine out the brighter. It is always a privilege to watch someone (especially a kid) begin to understand the love and security they can have in Jesus. With so much pain and upheaval throughout Eurasia right now, it is especially important to share this hope with those who are seeking. As Jesus said, “I am the light of the world.  Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life” (John 8:12).
