Konnichiwa! My name is Isabel and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve the Lord in rural Japan through the D House Internship!
Most of my childhood was spent in Tokyo, Japan. From ages two to ten I was fully immersed in the Japanese culture, attending pre-school through fifth grade in a local Japanese neighborhood. I am extremely fond of the unique experience I was blessed with to grow up in a cross-cultural environment. It is for this reason that I am overjoyed to have the opportunity to return to Japan and serve as a short-term missionary with SEND! I was presented with the opportunity to participate in the D-House program in Obanazawa during a missions conference and knew the Lord was urging me to join in His work in Japan.
The desire of my heart is to faithfully serve the Lord wherever He has called me. This has led me to serve in my local church’s youth, children’s, and young adult ministries. I was also blessed with the experience of serving as an RA at Frontier School of the Bible where I attended and earned a one-year certificate of Christian training. I wish to give the Lord all of the honor and praise through this opportunity and with my whole life.
