Jon & Beth are passionate about reaching the unreached and seeing the gospel take root in every people group. After joining SEND in 1999, the Ecksteins departed for East Asia in 2001. Working among an UPG their first term, they had the privilege of seeing many of their students trust Christ and grow in Him. After returning for their first furlough in 2005, Jon and Beth were asked to move into a leadership role as an Area Director, which they served in for 9 years. In 2013 Jon began serving as the Asia Regional Director, and expanded SEND's work into Southeast Asia. They loved raising their two children, Lindsay and Jonathan, as third culture kids in Taiwan and anytime they are together now you can expect Asian food to be on the menu! In 2025, Jon and Beth transitioned into new roles: Jon as the SEND International Director/CEO and Beth as the Director of Organizational Development. Their desire is to see SEND embrace 203 unreached communities by 2033 and to catalyze many, many more for the Great Commission by obeying the Great Commandment.
