I heard the call of God early in life and I wanted to serve as a missionary at the ripe old age of nine. By eighteen I found myself fully surrendering to God. It was shortly after this I started college and the strenuous pursuit of stepping out in faith while trusting His way is always worthwhile. Something shifted in my soul three-quarters of the way through my degree in Biblical Studies. It was then I felt my stomach drop, and the Parable of the Sower in Matthew 13 hit me like a pair of snow boots in the stomach. I knew exactly what I was supposed to do… be compost.

The Body of Christ can be compared to a garden in that it requires tending, nourishment, and the delightful waters of Scripture. By partnering with SEND International, my vision is to walk alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ, spread the Gospel, and make disciples as we develop a greater love for God’s Word. I’m taking this journey while building lasting, authentic, and fruitful relationships, encouraging others, and leading a life that faithfully reflects our Creator’s love.

SEND International is a Christian mission agency present in many different countries. Founded in 1945, SEND helps to mobilize believers to launch and collaborate with churches and make disciples among the unreached. Alaska is one of the many examples of SEND’s reach. It is over twice the size of Texas and one of the most sparsely populated states. The mountains are an ever-present reminder of God’s faithfulness, and people are a direct reflection of His creative heart. Together, there is a harmony within to share our Creator’s love in every way possible.
