Hi, my name is David Mitchell. I’m 18 years old and from Sussex County, New Jersey. I was adopted from Ethiopia, and in 2024, I had the opportunity to go back and meet my biological family for the first time, including my birth mom. That experience really changed my perspective and made me grateful for everything God has given me. It also opened my eyes to how people live in other parts of the world and gave me a deeper appreciation for the opportunities I have.

God has been growing my desire for missions through the opportunities I’ve had to serve both locally and internationally. I’ve been on mission trips to Slovenia, where I worked with kids through sports, games, and sharing my faith, and I’ve seen how even small acts of service can make a big impact. Serving at camps like Northern Frontier and Harvey Cedars, along with staying involved in my church, has also helped me grow in leadership and in my relationship with God. Through these experiences, I’ve felt God calling me to continue serving others and using my life to share his love wherever I go.
