What are the benefits of giving stock and securities?

Donating long-term appreciated stocks or mutual funds is one of the most tax-efficient ways to give. By transferring securities directly to Send International, you can generally avoid the capital gains tax you would have to pay if you sold them first, allowing you to make a larger impact at a lower original cost to you.

How can I give from a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)?

If you have a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) with a provider like the National Christian Foundation (NCF), Fidelity Charitable, or Schwab Charitable, you can easily recommend a grant to support our work. To make a grant, simply log in to your DAF provider's portal and search for Send International by our legal name and Tax ID (EIN).

How does giving from an IRA work?

For partners aged 70.5 or older, making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from a traditional IRA is a powerful, tax-wise giving method. A QCD can satisfy your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) for the year and is excluded from your taxable income.
