Sue Thomson > Bio
After graduating from the Grand Rapids Baptist College in 1975, I spent nine weeks in Peru as part of a summer team working with evangelism and discipleship of Peruvian young people. During my time in Peru, God began to show me that He was calling me to be a full time missionary.
In 1978, I applied to and was appointed to Amazonas, Brazil by the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism and served there until my parents’ failing health called me back to the States in 1994.
My journey from 1994 to 2002 took me from working in retail and several offices to obtaining a Master’s degree in Christian Counseling.
In June of 2002, I felt God’s call to missions being renewed, this time with SEND International. I now serve as the SEND Me! Coordinator, recruiting, training, and assisting individuals from all over the United States to participate in short term mission trips.
