My name is Judith Klein and I am from Germany. When I first visited Maribor, I felt right away that Slovenia would be my future home. I arrived in August 2000, studied Slovene and helped in the church as much as I could. My primary work in Maribor has been to lead adult Bible studies and Bible studies for kids. I spend my weekdays visiting people, building personal relationships, and discipling young believers.
Today we get the feeling that there has always been a hopeless attitude towards Maribor from other Slovenian believers – a dark spot in Slovenia. Will you join me to pray that God will answer Nina’s prayers for her three children who are not yet believers? Will you join us in Slovenia to reach these people who have so little opportunity to hear about Jesus and worship with believers?
In addition to Judith, Steve and Jenny Meeker from nearby Croatia, meet regularly with Judith to plan and work with the local Slovene believers. Another couple is raising support in Germany to join the team and SEND is praying for the team to grow in the next few years. |
