Geography
Hungary, located in central Europe, shares its borders with seven neighbors; Austria, Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia. It compares in size to Indiana and is shaped like a kidney. Most of the eastern landscape is flat while rolling hills and low mountains pile up in the northwest. The capitol, Budapest, resulted from the union of two cities, Buda and Pest, on opposite sides of the Danube River.
