Geography
The Czech Republic, a land-locked country slightly smaller than South Carolina, rests in the heart of Europe. It shares borders with Germany, Poland, Austria and Slovakia. Mountains march along Czech’s borders, providing natural barriers. Bohemia, the western part of the country, consists of rolling plains, hills and plateaus. Moravia in the east is very hilly. The weather is moderate in the summer and cold and snowy in the winter.
