Geography
A land-locked country about the size of Vermont, Macedonia sits on the Balkan Peninsula bordered by Serbia, Bulgaria, Greece, Albania and Kosova. Rugged mountains cover most of the landscape and the main population centers rest in valleys and lowlands. Skopje, the capitol city, is situated on the Vardar River. Macedonia enjoys a temperate climate.
