Several of SEND's Philippine missionaries have now successfully completed a five week intensive TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) course here in Quezon City. Ruth Haynes says, "It certainly was exhausting, but chucked full of many new teaching methods that we hope to adapt to our teaching/training opportunities. By God’s strength and grace, about ½ of our class of 20 students (representing 7 nations) have plans to use this training almost immediately as they either return to or soon will be leaving for the countries God has called them to. It was a stretching experience…and we’re glad to be back to somewhat “normal” life again!"
