Kiev Christian Academy
Kiev, Ukraine
Our interdenominational
school was established in 1993 by Campus Crusade for Christ and continues
to be administered by this organization. There are currently 125 students
enrolled in grades K-12, mostly MKs, some business and national students.
KCA is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International.
Our students are primarily
from missionary families representing many different organizations and countries.
In recent years, scores of agencies have chosen to locate in Kiev, as Ukraine
is becoming the launching ground for spiritual work throughout the former
Soviet Union.
We expect rapid expansion
in our school program as we open our doors to include a portion of local and
expatriate families who also desire that their children receive a Christ-centered
education in the English language.

Purpose
Our aim is to provide
students with an excellent academic experience within the framework of
a solid
foundational Christian worldview that enables each to evaluate his entire
range of experiences in light of the Scriptures. Our vision is that each
student
understands that "all truth is God's truth." Each
must also realize the limitations and foolishness of the wisdom of this world.
We desire that our students have a sincere heart for the lost and the courage
to speak the truth in love to those who dwell in darkness.
It is our purpose at KCA to first support the missionary families serving in Ukraine and to form
close partnerships with these homes. Only then may we reach out beyond the
family of believers and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ with all our hearts,
with all our minds, and all our souls.
"The
end then of learning is to repair the ruins of our first parents by regaining
to know God aright and out of that knowledge to love Him, to imitate Him,
to be like Him
which being united to the heavenly grace of faith makes
up the highest perfection."

Milton

Setting
New Hope Christian School
is located on the outskirts of Kiev, the ancient and fascinating capital of
Ukraine. Kiev was established over 1500 years ago, and Ukrainians are justifiably
proud of their city's history, culture, and architecture. The people of Ukraine
are famous the world over for their hospitality, sense of humor, and perseverance
through centuries of hardship. Ukraine became an independent nation when the
old Soviet Union broke apart in 1991.

Ministry
Opportunities
We are looking for qualified,
certified teachers who are called to serve the Lord by ministering to missionary
families and to teach their children. Missionary children have unique gifts
and needs as they enter a new world of experiences.
Teachers do need to raise their own support, but are not required to come
to NHCS under a mission board. If you choose, you may come independently or
be sent by your home church. Living expenses in Kiev are low.
We welcome the participation of retired teachers, those that have recently
graduated, and those with experience in public and private schools. Come to
Kiev for a joyful and life-changing experience in serving our Lord! We're
waiting for you!
