We have served with SEND International in Taiwan since 1983. Working in the Taiwanese language, we helped establish the Chingshui Gospel Church on the western coast of Taiwan until 1994. From 1997 to 1999, we assisted in the establishment of the Evangelical Formosan Church in Taichung City. Since 1997, Mark has also been teaching at Tao Sheng Theological Seminary in Taipei using the Mandarin language. Mark teaches church history and Bible Survey. Tao Sheng’s emphasis is "training Asians for ministry in China."

We are presently serving with a national co-worker, Pastor Hwang, and a dedicated team of lay people in helping to plant the Hsin Peitou Baptist Church, which had its inception in the summer of 2000. We have had the added privilege of working in the church alongside a seminary intern and his family. Being involved in the lives of the Tao Sheng students and their families, encouraging them and helping equip them for church planting ministry, has been very rewarding work.
