The Budapest Care Center

The Budapest Care Center seeks to help to expatriate Christian workers as well as national pastors.  Individuals and couples travel to the Care Center from Russia, Ukraine, Central Europe, Western Europe and Eurasia for mental health services.  People seek help for issues related to depression, recovery from trauma, anxiety, addictions and a variety of marriage related problems.   The accumulation of stress related cross-cultural living, language learning, and team conflicts often bring these personal problems to a critical point.  Rather than having personnel sent back to their home country for treatment, the Budapest Care Center offers a much need alternative.  Mission personnel are able to travel to Budapest, stay in a comfortable hotel and meet daily with a professional counselor and receive confidential help.

The Care Center also provides training and seminars for national pastors and mission leaders.  The focus of training is on helping leaders understand how problems develop and equip them toward taking steps to actively, effectively intervene when personal problems arise.  The Care Center provides marriage and family seminars for national churches.  These seminars are presented in churches both in Hungary as well as the surrounding countries and are used as an outreach to the community.

All the services offered by the Care Center are free of charge to the national pastors and mission personnel.  This work is supported completely the gifts and support of concerned individuals and churches willing to partner with us in our work.  Support for the Care Center can be directed to the "Budapest Care Center" project number 58.029540, sent directly to SEND International, PO Box 513, Farmington, MI 48332.

“I thank God for sending you to open the Care Center!  I’ve been in Eastern Europe since 1997 and could tell you the stories of countless men and women who have sat in my apartment and office, hurting, broken, in desperate need of help…and there was no one near.  Thank you for coming.  Thank you for ministering.  Thank you for using your gifts in a place that is not easy.  May God continue to strengthen, encourage, and bless you!”     Mission Leader in Eastern Europe

SHARE Educational Resouces

The team at SHARE has assembled a large base of information and is able to assist families in planning for their long-range educational goals with information on available opportunities such as national schools, online schools, international schools, and home schooling.  They also offer resources and expertise in important areas such as learning in a second language, planning for college, assessment of learning styles, and testing for learning disabilities.

Dr. Wes Willis, SEND missionary, serves as the president of SHARE.  Larry Milks serves as the East Area Director of SHARE and oversees the consulting, regional seminars and training in Turkey and surrounding countries, Russia and Ukraine, and Central Asia.  A highlight of the year for many missionaries is the SHARE Conference hosted each year in Budapest, Hungary.  Several hundred missionaries and their children attend this conference and receive a great deal of training and material from the SHARE staff and guest speakers from all over the world.

One of the greatest single stressors on missionary families is the ability to provide a quality education for their children.  This is a tremendous challenge regardless of the educational route that a family chooses for their children.  Without SHARE as a consulting resource, many missionaries would not be able to continue their ministry or work effectively on the field.

"The greatest single stressor in thinking about our long- term future here has been the education of our children. I now look to our educational future knowing that someone is able to help me sort through things, overcome obstacles, and provide for my family's needs."   Missionary Parent
