OBC’s committee, comprised of four Japanese pastors and two SEND missionaries, are certain that in order to impact more Japanese with the gospel they need to replace the current facility, an old wooden building beyond renovation. Camping ministry is one of the most effective means of reaching the Japanese for Christ. Without adequate, safe facilities, this ministry will be at risk.
Recently, the concept of Regional Strategic Response Teams (RSRT) was formed in Spain. These teams are regional in scope and may include more than one point of mission, depending on the needs and situation of the area. One RSRT church-planting team is located in the province of Guadalajara. They are reaching out to the community with an incarnate model ministry--METAS. A building is required for an effective fruit-bearing outreach in the community of Guadalajara.
To meet our current needs, as well as anticipated future growth, SEND USA is in the process of replacing our twenty-year-old database. All components, including Development, General Ledger, Human Resources, and Contacts are in need of updating and are incorporated in this project. The primary goal is to provide a stable technology solution that will facilitate sustained growth while providing 21st century services to our missionary and donor body.
This Ukrainian-run seminary provides quality training for the next generation of pastors and Ukrainian foreign missionaries. The school currently graduates one class every four years. With an expanded facility, the plan is to graduate a class every year. In March 2007, Talbot School of Theology began to offer a Master of Arts degree in Biblical and Theological Studies in partnership with Kiev Theological Seminary. Classes are taught by faculty from both Talbot’s main campus and Kiev Theological Seminary, along with newly hired faculty from European countries.
