SEND Direct
Your monthly contribution to the ministry of SEND International can be made easily and economically by using SEND Direct. This program automatically deducts a pre-authorized contribution amount from your account on the 12th of each month. Your benefits?
- Save money – postage, checks and envelop costs are eliminated because your contribution is transferred automatically.
- Save time – you won’t have to write a monthly check or look for a stamp. It helps SEND cut down on administrative costs, putting more of your contribution into missionary work. It also saves SEND record-keeping and check-processing costs.
- No worry – the plan is convenient when you’re on vacation or squeezed for time. It saves you the fear of delayed, lost or stolen checks. Your contributions are received safely and promptly.
A receipt will be issued annually reflecting your most recent contribution and a total of the contributions given in the current year.
You maintain the same control as with writing a check. At anytime by simply notifying us you may:
- change your donation amount
- cancel your donation
- change bank accounts

A Gift of Securities
Giving appreciated stock is a simple way of expanding your support to reach many more people for Jesus Christ.
Suppose you want to make a significant contribution to support your favorite SEND missionary or project, but you have limited resources. A tax savings could make your contribution affordable. You may own stock that has really appreciated since you purchased it. If you sell the stock and donate the money, you will pay tax on the appreciation. If you give the stock directly to SEND, you will not pay tax on the appreciation, and yet you can claim a charitable contribution on the full value of the stock the day you give it.
For example:
If you bought stock for $5,000 and then gave it to SEND when it was worth $10,000, you would not have to pay tax on the $5,000 of appreciation. So our stock answer is, you save when you give appreciated stock. We can help you do it.

Planned Giving - Gift Annuity
If you're looking for guaranteed income from your investments but you would love your funds to be used some day for God in world evangelization, a gift annuity may be worth investigating.
When you make a gift annuity, you transfer an asset or funds to SEND International. SEND guarantees you pre-agreed annual income for the rest of your life at a rate comparable to what you would receive from a normal bond or fixed income investment. Our payment obligations to you are secured by all of the combined assets of SEND International. After your death the remaining principal will be used by SEND for mission work around the world.
Tax Benefits
A gift annuity is part contribution and part investment. The exact proportion depends on your age at the time of the contribution. The contribution portion of your annuity is tax deductible right away and some of your annual income will be tax free. Depending on your estate, there may also be estate tax reductions and probate benefits through the annuity program.
No Fluctuations
Regardless of what happens to the interest rate, the stock market or the economy in the future, you (and your surviving spouse) will be guaranteed the same annual income for the rest of your life. If you're looking for future income, a deferred-gift annuity earns an even higher rate.
Satisfaction
With a gift annuity, even while you are enjoying the tax savings and guaranteed income, you have the satisfaction of knowing that a major portion of the funds placed in the gift annuity will eventually be used for missionary work through SEND.
We'd like to send you detailed and personalized gift annuity information to help you decide whether to take advantage of this income tool. It's free and without obligation to take further action.

Planned Giving – Charitable Trusts
Consider this giving tool as a way to gain an early tax advantage, ensure that your funds make a lasting impact in world evangelization and, at the same time, provide funding for you and your family's needs.
Charitable Trusts are flexible tax-planning tools that enable you to defer estate tax, make a lasting missions impact through your investment, and still be able to plan income for needs you or your family may have now or in the future.
The trust options are varied and have complex names, but simple ideas.
Here are two examples:
1. Receive a lifetime income for you and your family and have the remainder go to fund missions
2. Let SEND receive income for a period and then later revert to funding your family needs.

Planned Giving – Wills
When all is said and done . . .
What is only "said," often does not get "done."
Will our lives leave an impact for generations? As committed Christians, we carefully plan how we use our funds to help the people we love and to further the causes in which we believe. But more than half of us don't have a plan for our resources after we go home to heaven.
Since SEND believes this is such an important part of stewardship, we have asked Dick Mills to spend all of his time helping SEND's financial partners plan for the final distribution of all that God has given them.
As our former Treasurer, Dick was the steward of your giving to SEND for over twenty years. He understands investments, tax law, and planned-giving vehicles like wills, gift annuities, and charitable trusts. Dick would love to serve you in this area with no strings attached - just a servant to help you achieve your dreams with the resources God has entrusted to you.
We can send you a free copy of the "Guide to your Christian Will." It's a resource that will help you take this important step.

Memorial Gifts
Can someone make a donation In Memory of someone…or In Honor of someone?
You might want to honor a loved one with a living memorial. A living memorial is much more than an expression of sympathy—more than an expression of love and respect. It is a lasting tribute. There is no more meaningful way to honor a life of faith and service than by a living memorial gift for reaching men and women for the One Who gives Eternal Life. It is a witness to God’s love and abundant grace in the life of someone special.

Corporate Donations
Does SEND ever receive matching gifts?
Your place of employment might provide a way for you to multiply your contributions. Some corporations have established a Matching Grants Program which matches donations made by their employees to eligible nonprofit organizations that have a status as “Public Charities” as defined in IRS Code Section 501(c) (3).
The corporation will only make matching grants directly to qualified nonprofit organizations.
For more information contact your place of employment to find out if it has a Corporate Matching Grants Program.
