	<description><![CDATA[The six million Muslims within this tropical Southeast Asian community have been extremely closed to the gospel of Jesus Christ for centuries.&nbsp; However, they are open to a messenger who is meeting felt needs.&nbsp; Be the presence of Jesus bringing the Message of Jesus to this needy community in this needy country.&nbsp; <br /><br />A multi-purpose facility in the center of M town is the site of community development efforts.&nbsp; Children may enroll in Kindergarten, tutoring programs, summer camps, and biblical values classes.&nbsp; The youth participate in values classes, sports tournaments, livelihood projects, and soon, a computer center will be available.&nbsp; Families are engaged in a variety of agriculture based micro enterprise projects.<br /><br />A background in education or community development is helpful, but Team HOPE provides training and mentorship through a required six-month internship for all candidates before long-term placement.&nbsp; You will learn how to engage this resistant community in culturally relevant ways.&nbsp; You will aid them in gaining the tools that will enable them to provide a sustainable income for their family.&nbsp;&nbsp; You will mentor them with the hope of seeing new Christ followers emerge and Muslim background churches established. <br /><br />If you love Jesus and have a passion to share His love with others, if you are independent and adventurous with a flexible nature and warm personality,&nbsp; then come and be the physical presence of Christ in the midst of those who do not know Him yet.]]></description>

	<description><![CDATA[At the invitation of a major university in this tropical Southeast Asian country, our multinational team directs the official tutoring program for new and continuing education students from cultural minority backgrounds.&nbsp; These students are primarily from Muslim backgrounds and they represent the poorest community in this needy country.&nbsp; With few resources to prepare them for the challenges of university, many are compelled to leave well before completing their degree.&nbsp; The role of Team HOPE is to aid them in gaining the skills necessary to enter the work force.&nbsp; The purpose of Team HOPE is to be the physical presence of Christ in the midst of a large Muslim community.&nbsp;&nbsp; The vision of Team HOPE is to reach these Muslims for our loving Lord, Jesus Christ.&nbsp; <br /><br />The Team HOPE student center houses a library, computer lab, and meeting spaces where team members&nbsp; build a foundation of trust with Muslim students and their families by providing training, resources, scholarships, and mentoring.&nbsp; Team HOPE needs staff members with a variety of skills and the willingness to learn culturally appropriate ways to share their knowledge.&nbsp; Candidates desiring to serve with Team HOPE are required to participate in a six-month training and mentoring internship before long-term acceptance on the team.&nbsp; <br /><br />If you love Jesus and have a passion to share His love with others, if you are independent and adventurous with a flexible nature and warm personality,&nbsp; then come and be the physical presence of Christ in the midst of those who do not know Him yet.]]></description>

We are using&nbsp;organic farming methods, terracing techinques and animal husbandry to develop relationships with the local Muslim community. <br /><br />If you are doing an internship for your university in community development, soil science, agriculture, animal husbandry, organic farming, etc &hellip;your time would be spent focusing on some of these particular areas, after email/coordination with the team leader, in order to fulfill your academic requirements. <br /><br />Qualifications and Education Requirements: <br /><br />Prefer college students with a genuine interest in missions, and openness to working with Muslims. Tutor students in basic math (algebra) and English (grammar and/or Oral English). You will also participate in sports, games and social events at our Student Center. This would be a great TESOL internship.</p>
