Manage the general operations of the SEND office and Center while providing oversight and evaluation of the business and financial matters of SEND Japan.

Youth Ministry

Working with national youth (middle school through college and young career) to evangelize and disciple.

TESOL Teachers

Teaching English in both formal and informal settings in order to evangelize.

SEND Me! (Short term) Japan TESL

Do you have a certificate in TESL? Several churches in Japan with whom SEND works would like qualified native English speakers to help with English classes as an outreach of the church. You can use your English speaking abilities to build relationships and reach the lost for Christ. This is a short term trip. Two years post high school required.

Bible Study Leader

Men and women to lead small, informal, evangelistic Bible studies in order to plant churches.

Camping Ministry

All roles related to camping—cooks, counselors, maintenance, administrators, etc.

Church Planter

Men and women who build friendships, start conversations, lead Bible studies, and model Christian living in order to establish reproducing churches.

Discipler

Coming alongside Christians to help them grow in their faith and reach others.

Evangelism Trainer

Training nationals in evangelism.

Evangelist

People who are passionate for the lost and able to draw Christ into the conversation.

Guest House Operator

Hospitable people to maintain and manage a guest house for the use of transitioning missionaries, short-term teams, and visitors to SEND Japan.

MK Teachers

Qualified teachers for missionary kids teaching in a variety of settings—large international schools, one-room schools, one-on-one tutoring.

Sports Ministry

People who use sports in various settings—camps, clubs, sports outreaches, coaching—to meet people, share the gospel and build the church.

Administrative Assistant

Manage the administrative needs for the SEND Japan Area.

Camp Administration

To manage the general operations and provide financial oversight of the camp ministries of SEND Japan.

Counselor / Therapist

Counseling missionaries and nationals in SEND Japan with the possibility of serving in other SEND areas.

Personnel Coordinator

To provide leadership and supervision for the on-field care and development of each member of SEND Japan.

Classroom Aide

Female volunteer needed to assist an elementary student with physical disabilities during the school day. The student attends Christian Academy in Japan, an English speaking school in Tokyo.
Candidates must be competent, good with children, able to pick up and carry a child, and willing to play a background yet important role in missions.
Experience in education or occupational/physical therapy is preferred. Two years college including some Bible courses is also important for visa requirements.
Dates: Jan. 5 - June 11, 2012 or August 2012 - June 2012
Approximate Costs: $18,800 for 6 months + international airfare
Costs included: In-country costs, overseas health insurance, pre-field training and post-field debriefing, and administrative costs.

SEND Teams - Japan Recovery Ministry Carpenters Only

SEND Japan has partnered with Samaritan's Purse to rebuild 300 homes in the Tohoku area. We need carpenters who can work in-country for 14 days. Living conditions may be sparse.

Size of Team: 1 - 5 members

Trip Duration: 16 travel days

Time Frame: Flexible

Estimated Cost (per person): $2565 including round trip air fare; Doesn't include Sunday meals or Sunday travel while in-country

SEND Teams - Japan Recovery Ministry

Our desire is to provide help over the next few months with clean- up as well as looking ahead over the next few years to rebuilding Japanese Christian churches and homes. We know that rebuilding from disasters takes time and much support. We need people who will be willing to quietly come alongside the nationals and missionaries and minister to them while doing clean-up under these stressful conditions.

Flexibility is a must; volunteers may be asked to do a variety of jobs and in different locations

Physical Requirements:

Good physical and emotional health
Capable of lifting heavy boxes, moving rubble all day long
20-70 Years of age
Proof of current Immunizations:
- Hepatitis B
- Tetanus (Td or Tdap), Tetanus must have been administered in the past 4 years

Trip Duration is estimated at 11 days; 2 travel days and 9 days in country

Time Frame: April through November is best

Team Size: 3 - 7 people

Trip Estimated Cost: $3275 per person including round trip air fare depending on city of departure
