In December 1999 we showed the Jesus film in the Hall of Culture near that market. Four people accepted Christ and four lives were changed. In November 2000 the first meeting took place in a nearby apartment and now over 100 Chinese Christians meet regularly in the Russian Baptist church.

The guest speaker for the celebration, a ‘rebel’ from June 1989, told how God changed his life as he escaped. An old lady who took him in had a bible but couldn’t read. He read the bible to her and the Holy Spirit did His work. After he spoke, we believe that around 70 became God’s children. Thirty Christians were baptized later in the fast flowing river.
