The Holy Spirit Came With Power!

Monday morning God answered prayer as I spoke at a chapel service here at Caronport High School. The prayers of God's people were so evident and very effective. The Lord came in great power. Oh my ...did the Holy Spirit ever come down on that Chapel service. When I finished preaching to the very attentive student body I gave the invitation to repent of sin and to come forward and humbly kneel at the front to do so. The response was amazing and fast...My wife estimates over 85% of the entire student body came forward. There was no room at the front so they knelt in the isles. What a glorious sight to behold. ALL GLORY TO GOD!!! Now please pray for the school leadership as they do basic follow-up.

Chinese in Russia Respond to the Gospel

Eight big buses, 42 cars, and over 350 Chinese merchants left Dom Molitvi for a campground alongside the Yenisei River. The market was closed to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Krasnoyarsk Chinese Christian Church.

In December 1999 we showed the Jesus film in the Hall of Culture near that market. Four people accepted Christ and four lives were changed. In November 2000 the first meeting took place in a nearby apartment and now over 100 Chinese Christians meet regularly in the Russian Baptist church.

The guest speaker for the celebration, a ‘rebel’ from June 1989, told how God changed his life as he escaped. An old lady who took him in had a bible but couldn’t read. He read the bible to her and the Holy Spirit did His work. After he spoke, we believe that around 70 became God’s children. Thirty Christians were baptized later in the fast flowing river.

We challenged the church to reproduce and carry out the Great Commission given to us by Jesus. God is at work.

Chinese Ministry in Ukraine

Martyn Hartley just returned from a trip to Ukraine where he was involved in Chinese ministry. Lugansk has a Chinese church meeting of about 20 people (2 men were saved on June 20). The Odessa church (30 people) has a great young missionary couple working with them. The team was blessed to see a sister that the 2009 team invited to go to camp. She became a Christian at camp and is now singing in the choir and growing in Christ. The team encouraged the leaders and challenged the church in Kharkov and Kiev and did evangelism outreach in dorms and the markets. There was a camp for everyone in Odessa July 8-12. Please pray that the many Chinese we witnessed to and shared with will accept the Lord and others will be convicted of issues in their lives!
