I will call
myself Michele but I can't show you my picture. I live and work
in a part of the East Asia area where missionaries are not allowed,
but I feel God has called me to share His love with the unreached
people here and provided creative ways for me to live and work
here. I can't tell you my real name or just where I work. If
I did, my ministry opportunities could end.
One of these
creative ways is through professional contacts with people.
In my town, for example, many people want to learn English so
I am welcome here as an English teacher. SEND has developed interesting
training materials that lead my students to consider eternal
issues without publicly putting me in danger. This material is
so compelling that students often ask me privately what I think
of God. What an open door!
Just recently
I was able to tell my friends about one of our students who did
respond to the gospel message. I'll call her Lucy. She came to
many English classes and we spent a lot of time together after
class just being friends. I knew she was observing my life to
see if my values were real, not just words! After several months
of seeking answers to questions about God and His word, she made
the decision to put her faith in Jesus Christ! She has grown
quickly in her faith and has begun to reach out to her friends
with the Good News. God has even given her the desire to study
His word and be trained to effectively lead other new believers
in a fellowship group!
