Steve and Jenny Meeker

We arrived in Croatia in January 1995. Since then, God has brought four wonderful boys to our family.

At first we were involved with church planting ministry, with an annual camp on the side beginning the summer of 1998. In 2002 our ministry emphasis shifted to a full-time camping focus. SEND entered a "fellowship of ministry" agreement with Scripture Union Croatia in which we work together to develop a nationwide camping outreach.

Through the medium of camping, we desire to expose children, young people, and families to a biblical world-view and to the message of the Gospel, and to provide a place where they can spend time away from the routines of daily life in order to hear and obey the truth of God's word. I can't think of a greater joy than seeing children, youth, and adults come to know Christ as their Savior and then choose to obey His word.

In Croatia, people take more time for relationships than for manicuring their lawns and decorating their homes. Many people here still do not know Jesus as their Savior. We are praying to the Lord of the Harvest to raise up laborers to serve in His work in Croatia.
