Central Asia
The region of Central Asia is generally understood to be made up of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The area is comprised of many people groups, which include Uzbek, Tajik, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Russians and Kurds just to name a few. Most of these people groups are unreached.
Long ago, the gospel came to Central Asia along the Silk Road. There are many redemptive analogies in the Central Asian culture that point to Christ, but Central Asians don’t recognize them today. The SEND team is seeking to introduce Central Asians to the Redeemer.
