“Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Prov 22:6 (NIV)
Spring 2008
Around the world, SEND missionaries have the opportunity to share the message of the Gospel with children. It could be through a Summer Camp ministry in Ukraine, a Teen Outreach in Russia or a Fly-In ministry to remote villages in Western Alaska. God has made each child a special person who needs to hear the message that Jesus loves them. He died on the cross for their sins and wants them to have a special relationship with Him. As children trust Jesus Christ as their Savior, they desire to learn more about Him through prayer and studying the Bible.
In 2004, SEND missionaries and church leaders in the Philippines started VOICE (Values Orientation In Classroom Education), a faith-based NGO which partners with evangelical churches to help strengthen the moral and spiritual fiber of public school students. Today, trained volunteer teachers from local churches teach Biblical truth and values in weekly classes in the public schools. Lessons are taught using stories of Biblical and national heroes. Sing-along songs reinforce the lesson for each week.

Please pray for our missionaries around the world as they share Christ with children and adults in the strategic summer months.
