Our Mission & Vision

A light in a dark place—for more than 60 years SEND missionaries have been taking the light of the gospel to those living in darkness across the North. Our vision is to see lives transformed, families changed, and entire communities touched by the light of our hope in Jesus Christ, a hope that they can share.

Church Ministries

We want to see the church established in the Far North by having the Word of God demonstrably lived and proclaimed in Native American and First Nations communities in remote North America where it is not currently being heard. Our goal is to recruit 105 missionaries in the next 5 years to have them join our team and enable them to make known the Gospel of Jesus Christ in communities of largely indigenous peoples in Alaska, the Yukon Territory, and northern British Columbia.

Alaska Bible College

Alaska Bible College, a ministry of SEND International of Alaska, offers a one-year Bible Certificate, a two-year certificate and Associates Degree, and a four-year Bachelor of Arts in Bible. The goal of the college is to assist SEND and other ministries by motivating and equipping believers to transform the world through ministries that evangelize, disciple, and meet human needs. Many ABC graduates are in Christian ministry in the north, some serving as pastors in SEND planted churches.

Northern Light Network Broadcasting

SEND operates two radio stations in Alaska through its Northern Light Network subsidiary. Northern Light Network stations KCAM and KRSA are currently broadcasting in Glennallen, Petersburg, Haines, Sitka, and Wrangell, Alaska. The Northern Light Network’s vision is to assist the church to fulfill its responsibility to evangelize and disciple, through the use of broadcast media.
