Last Thursday we had another great meeting with Ivo and Vasko's friends.  The topic was Love - what is love, where does it come from, what is the standard ... and of course we come to God, who IS love and shows us what it looks like.  This time, aside from Ivo and Vasko, four others came - Ivan, Stoyan and two young women, Alexandra and Polina (see picture). 

It is exciting to spend time with people who, though they don't (yet) know Christ, are seeking, perhaps not sure exactly what for, but we hope and pray they will find Christ!  Polina shared some difficult things she's gone through and we prayed for her.   And some other neat connections were made, like learning that Stoyan's Christian cousin Tony is someone we know from before!  He's been praying for Stoyan for years and came to last Thursday - he was a great addition to the group and shared his own testimony.  Please continue to pray for the group and for each of these people that God loves dearly - that indeed they would come to understand that love in a personal way and respond to it.  We wait expectantly to see God work!

Trip to Smolyan

This Friday-Saturday I am traveling with Pastor Evgeniy and Grozdan to Smolyan, where we will meet with the small group of believers that our church may become increasingly involved with as a church plant.  Beyond the time in Smolyan, I am looking forward to some good times of talking and discussing with Evgeniy and Grozdan about the efforts to build up our church ministry team, including a team to plant a new church in Sofia within a couple years.  Please pray for constructive, God-led discussions and for a fruitful time in Smolyan.
